President Donald Trump said Friday that he ordered two nuclear submarines to move to the “appropriate regions” in response to what he called “highly provocative statements” of the deputy president of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev.
Trump announced the movement in a publication to its social media platform. He did not specify in the publication exactly where the submarines would go, nor what capabilities the submarines have.
“Based on the highly provocative statements of the former president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now vice president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered that two nuclear submarines be positioned in the appropriate regions, in case these silly and inflammatory statements are more than that,” Trump wrote.
“The words are very important can often lead to involuntary consequences, I hope this is not one of those cases,” he added.

Medvedev has recently sounded on social networks on the deadline of Trump so that Russia reaches a high fire agreement with Ukraine or in front of severe sanctions.
“Trump is playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10 … should remember 2 things: 1. Russia is not Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with their own country. Medvedev published in X earlier this week.

Trump has expressed a growing frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin for war in Ukraine. Russia launched a record of 6,443 drones in Ukraine in July, ABC News reported.
On Monday, Trump announced that he was going up the timeline for Russia to make peace or face what he called secondary penalties from 50 days to 10 days.
“I want to be generous, but we just don’t see any progress,” Trump said. “I’m not so interested in speaking.”
