After flying to El Salvador in search of a meeting with the Maryland resident who, according to the courts, was mistakenly deported from the United States to El Salvador last month, Senator Chris van Hollen, D-MD. He shared a photo with Kilmar Abrego García.

Maryland’s senator, who flew to the country on Wednesday, shared a Photo in x On Thursday night sitting with Abrego García.

“I said that my main objective of this trip was to meet Kilmar. Tonight I had that opportunity. I called his wife, Jennifer, to transmit his love message. I hope to provide a complete update on my return,” said Van Hollen in the publication.

The meeting comes after Van Hollen shared A video In the most early social networks on Thursday, showing the guards who prevent it and others enter Cecot, the prison where Abrego García is located.

The Supreme Court and a federal judge of Maryland ordered that the United States government “facilitate” the return of Abrego García to the United States after the Department of Justice said in judicial presentations that the 29 -year -old father was unjustly deported due to an “administrative error.”

The Trump administration claimed that it cannot bring it back and said outside the court that Abrego García is a member of the MS-13 gang.

No more details have been provided about the state of Abrego García.

The White House hit Van Hollen for making the trip and advocating Abrego García, claiming with little evidence, that Abrego García is a member of the gang.

The Department of Justice has not accused Abrego García of any crime related to gang and his alleged membership of MS-13 has been disputed in court.
